This installer does work on any distro, any DE (GNOME, KDE, Unity, etc), either 32 or 64 bit. But it should be considered an experimental work-in-progress (see the forum). Apparently the upload process sees fit to remove the executable flag. This is important as without it it won't run. So once downloaded, add it (see below). Also the filers in some distros seem to be borked in that by default they simply display executable text files. For example Ubuntu does (whereas Linux Mint sensibly asks what to do). You can change this behaviour quite easily, although the simplest solution may be to just run from a terminal: $ cd ~/Downloads # or wherever it is $ chmod +x Daimonin-installer-20150112.run $ ./Daimonin-installer-20150112.run

Doesn't matter, you'd die anyway. Shroud's a hacker. After many hours of deep thought I have came to that conclusion.
