I just ran amok in marketplace and deleted all the non-stickied threads!

This wasn't quite the intention.

SMF has an admin function to remove all threads from one or more boards which meet certain criteria.

In this case I specified all threads in marketplace, excluding stickies, which have not been posted in for 758 days. Really old stuff in this board is not helpful to anyone and is just a pain for the moderator.

It seems to have ignored the 758 and just wiped all the non-stickies!

Unfortunately this cannot be undone, at least at a high level.

Fortunately I did backup the db first in case of such a problem, so perhaps MT can restore it?

Had I a brain I would have simply moved the old threads to a non-visible archive child board so they'd be out of sight, out of mind but recoverable.

i think it would be cool to have these threads anywhere available. when i started daim and got a clue of the market and the marketplace in forum, i studied - for fun - old threads, where eg rods where sold in the very beginning of the game etc. - was  funny :)

Yeah. I wasn't thinking at all. We could even have put these old threads in a read only child board. Oh well, maybe MT can fix it.

Hm, i have to check it out... thats some work. The database is updated but to restore and add it by hand can become tricky. I do not think there is an pre created tool or option for this.
