I appreciate that I have probably confused, perplexed, and mislead everyone by starting this topic talking about the containers for our missiles.

Everyone is being extremely helpful by stating their opinions, thank you very very much

But please may I ask for some opinions about containers that don't start with the letter q ??

Thanks everyone.

I'm not quite sure what you want, and i don't have much more to say on this overall subject that hasn't been said already, but i made a belt pouch artwork piece, and i now think that i should extend that to make it a throwing belt, for throwables. IT IS A HUGE problem with throwing weapons, that they hardly ever stack (unless you buy from shop) and we have no sort of bag for them (like we do for arrows).

I should also say that on my server i created a certain type of bag and certain throwing weapons that work together. I no longer have them, since my testmaps got... redone... but, it worked for a while. You just had to have all new throwing weapons, and this bag.

So, i hope this is what you wanted, sorta.

Nice idea Uni. Isn't there a special name for those throwing knife (or star/axe/hammer) belts that go diagonally from shoulder to hip? You often see Mexican bandits wearing them in westerns. Or the thief in Conan/Red Sonja/etc (there's always a weasly thief guy in those sorts of fantasy films). Something like that would be good.

Thank you very very much for your feedback on this subject.

To summarise all this:

Alas, only one reply applied to containers in general, the remainder to quivers specifically.
This is the only feedback from other people that I have, so I will dare to assume that what was said about quivers probably applies to other containers.

If a poll question was 'Multiple containers of the same type can be applied. Is this feature useful?' Those who expressed an opinion would probably have given the following answers:

Code: [Select]
One container is sufficient for me  ..... 3 votes
Maybe the choice of more than one   ..... 2 votes
Yes, this feature is useful for me  ..... 0 Votes

So the unanimous opinion appears to be that the default behaviour should be that ofly one containe2 of a particular type is applied at once.
If it is decided to give people a choice, I would suggest a special combo ([Shift-]Ctrl-A) to select a second container which acts as an overflow, and that be shown with a different colour and/or background A.

I hope this is useful.

Best regards,

Not sure, but could you insert 2 containers into one container, would that help?

Hm... yup, that is about right tryagain. It is nothing that i even knew about, much less used till you mentioned it here. I can see the importance possibly of it, but then a message saying "bag is full, put <item> in main inventory" would be more than enough for me to say "apply a different bag now". The Shift+control+a thing may not work too well, i'm thinking that it just keeps track of which bag was applied first and automatically and sets the second one as an overflow (and changes appearence, etc.).

Ele: that is not a good idea :). I can see putting empty leather pouches in one-another, but it'd get all messy if you extended it to all containers like you did there. Can you fit a bag in a desk? Sure. So an empty bag or 4 can be put into a desk. Can an empty desk fit into a bag? Errm... no..... So, see why containers can't be put into other containers, even if they are empty? It just makes more work for the code and stuff....

I did some artwork last night, and i made a throwing belt which has little hooks on it where you can put throwing weapons (as far as its appearence--you don't care as long as it acts like a quiver for throwing weapons do you? :P). As with my other 250 or so pieces of artwork, it won't be in the B4 release (250 is a lot people, and that is the reason why it isn't going to be in the release :P).
