Yeah, go buy it from the shops by standing over it and pressing G, then walking out - or you can go to the priest in the church and say Food to him.

Please be careful with any food you pick up - it can be poisoned, and if your HP is low the poison can kill you.  Water is the only thing I know of which is always safe but it gives only a tiny amount of food.  Once you start getting enough money to afford it, ask the smith to identify all items then you will see which food is safe or not. I suggest collecting a minimum of 10 items before identifying all of them - this reduces the risk of not regaining the 500 copper cost to an acceptable level.

@sambeaux: You know, while there will be plenty of new food types in beta 4, noone has made sandwich graphics yet. I'm sure you can draw something that we then can put for sale in the tavern ;-)

what if you had food shops in dungeons? like say in oop, down the first staircase. there would be an orange portal that teleported you to the food shop with like 5 different types of food to buy. the food types came in 3 amounts: 1, 5, and 10 for easy shopping, and the 5 food types gave different food points.

And it is very funny when food is delivered - especially if 'toasted' by fs. What about a diferent type of nugget ? - KFC eat your heart out !
