Currently we have two versions of blood splatters in the arches -- some old images which have been around forever and some 'new' images (actually barbarised floors and walls) which I did a while ago.

So the old ones:


And the new ones (light, medium, and heavy variants):






Now there are two problems with these: none of them are that good (mine actully look like modified floors and walls -- well they look OK at 1024x768 but they suck at 800x600); they are different colours/styles to each other.

So, who wants to make us some decent blood floor and wall masks?

Those are hilarious. Bit neat and tidy for what I have in mind but yes, bloody footprints might work well for another idea I had, and pools of blood are always good.
