Is there any way whatsoever to get rid of a cursed item (amulet for example) after you've equipped it?

My search of forum hasn't revealed anything, and I don't have time to look at server side code for this.

The priests can cast remove curse/remove damnation (for a price, of course). Or you can do it yourself, if you find such an item.

I tried four times to remove the curse, but nothing happened. I think that function might be broken.

I've done a bit of quick testing and can confirm the following:

1. Remove curse has no effect on cursed items and when I paid for priest to do so item was still cursed and applied
2. Remove damnation does work on cursed items and when I paid for priest to do so item was uncursed and able to be removed.

As far as the reason why it's the case I remember a while back Smacky mentioned about curses and damnation (stronger curses) being unnecessary duplication so I think it was planned for curses to be removed.

If wanting a quick fix to prevent people spending money on remove curse that does nothing I would suggest removing it as an option from Priest NPC lua script.

P.S. It should be added that Remove Damnation only works up to the level of the NPC casting it. So a level 110 NPC can do it for everything but a lvl 15 NPC only does it for up to lvl 15 items. This mainly applies to potions that can be cursed/damned with high levels.
Doesn't matter, you'd die anyway. ;D Shroud's a hacker. After many hours of deep thought I have came to that conclusion.

I think the best answer would be to fix remove curse/damn, then go back and research whether or not smacky actually made progress on simplifying curse/damnation.

Regardless of "future plans", it's rude of us to allow someone to be stuck with a cursed ring on forever :)

Remove Damnation does work, it's just Remove Curse that doesn't. Remove Damnation also removes curses.

Problem is that Remove Curse robs player of their money and doesn't remove the curse. So if you remove Remove Curse then they'll have to go for Remove Damnation and it's OK

Seeing clear logic simply stated on a forum is a rare joy, nowadays.

Fair enough. I removed RC, and adjusted the price on RD to be between RC and RD (much more forgiving on LLP's who don't know any better). Changes have been updated on Main.
