The door flew open from the force of the wind outside. ‘Kachunk’ vibrated loudly throughout the inn as it slammed against the wall. Lightning flickered and outlined the dark silhouette of the stranger from behind as he stood in the doorway surveying the local crowd inside.

“Hail my friends, and well met!” The stranger proclaimed as he stepped into the main room. “I be hight* Cedric D’Argen, a man of many trades and abilities.” He said as he shed his oiled cloak and hung it from one of the pegs on the wall close by the door.

When he turned around everyone could see that he was a human of about moderate height and weight. His brown eyes flickered with golden hues of amusement. He wore his dark brown hair at a length of about the second knuckle on one of his fingers. His clothes were dark, wet and travel-stained from many a long mile. But the most notable feature was his smile, open and friendly.

“Ah round for the house and a bowl of that marvelous smelling stew for me.” he smiled and nodded at the barkeep and tossed him a shiny silver coin. Cedric seated down at an empty table. ‘I’m new to this borough and would have the happenings as what is going on here.”

OOC: I have played on quite a few mmorpgs and pbbrpgs. I started playing rpg games for about 25 years. And have moved on a few times for various reasons. I am looking for a place that I can stay for a bit. I am more interested in roleplay then hack and slash. I find the H&S games boring after a short time. Usually about the time I figure out the game mechanics. From everything I have read on this site most of you want the same thing as I do. To play IC and escape from real life for a bit. Some of my experience has been bulletin board rpgs, where you are basically creating a book by post. Some of the best and most creative times for me has been then. I’m hoping to find that rolelplay, creativity, and enjoyment here. I look forward to meeting any and all of you. Thank you.

Welcome Cedric , I hope you will find in Daimonin both role playing and 'hack and slash' aspects to game play.  I myself play a miserly and humourless dwarf known for reducing the ranks of the ungodly at a fearsome rate, but many other characters await you IG see you there.

Thank you, I can do the hack n slash part, that is usually easy. Character development will not be a problem. I guess I was maybe a little too serious with my post above. I am just saying that the hack n slash part is secondary to the roleplay and just plain having fun with it. I am looking for a game that I can play without worrying about having the hack n slash part of it being the only thing to do. Where all of the players are more interested in having the legendary +100 weapon or armor. It is nice to have good equipment but let it be secondary to the roleplay. I want to have fun with my character, make good friends, and find a home where when I need to escape from RL for a bit that I am welcome and can sit down on that bench in the tavern even if it is only in my mind. So let's have lots of fun and become good friends or enemies as the game dictates. I look forward to meeting you in the game and crossing blades or together ambushing that troop of orcs coming our way. I live in the central standard time zone and will be online sometime later today. See you then. ;D  ;)

Clobber, I would be interested. I'm not sure if I know the game enough yet to be able to contribute much but I would be willing to try. Just give me a little guidance and I will do my best.

You'll get to know it :) and Welcome to the game!

I'll add you to the Author's group (if I can, if not I'll ask someone else to do it) so that you can see what we have so far (which is the plans for it :))

EDIT: No I can't :) But I'll ask someone else.
