So this has been around since b4, but in b5 with the way attacks works its become more of an issue-
When I (and others) press the down volume on my (our) keyboard(s) it toggles as if I were pressing "c"-this is not a deadly bug but it is a nuisance.
(Also related mute toggles "d"rop-this does not seem be as big of a deal, but it clearly is related).

down volume on keyboard and toggle mute?
I don't understand ... what you press? Special keys on your keyboard?
binded key macros?

Most laptops these days have volume control built into the keyboard. I press Fn(function) + End, and there's the mute key. Pressing that mute key will simulate pressing D, but only in Daimonin.

Same with vol. up and vol. down.

Ok, now i know my laptop is outdated...
Hm, the keyboard mapping is normally a SDL thingy, not sure why that it.

Someone with such a keyboard/laptop should compile a bit around and check
the key mapping. Can't be a serious thing, but without such a laptop i can't
look in it.

Anyone? I put this on sticky until its solved.

Up/down volume and mute on my main PC keyboard do exactly what they are supposed to do and have no other effect on Daimonin. Must be something to do with laptops and their condensed keyboard mapping.

Well I'm going to do an overhaul of ingame keys shortly, and my laptop has the same kind of setup as Zrub describes so I'll look into it then.
