I had started playing daimonin 5 days ago. I quicly progressed through the game and yesterday i became a lvl 7 but then started my woes.

In 4 days all the quests in GH and SH (castle as well as village) were completed and i was left aimless (because the next quest could only be found in SG which needed lvl 11)and the only thing i could do was to lvl up but that too was hard as i could kill most of the monsters easily and the ones that i couldn't were way above my league and kill me at 1 hit. I could only lvl up out of that situation by fighting low level ones for 1 day...

The point i am stressing is that there is  need of more beginners quest in Daimonin...so that player has a aim and motivation to lvl up quickly.

Even small quest like kill 20 ants....cleanse this area, cleanse that area....even these would do and there is no need to provide skills/spells/items as award....you can simply give some gold and the player will be happy....

I wish that quest maker and SENTInce are completed quicly and would help if there is any other way.

Please comment what could be done

P.S. i have programming skills in python and beginner skills in C++( i am currently learning it)

Again you're absolutely right about the need.

If you go on the dev (B5) server, you will find a lot of new maps and quests (mostly from Grommit) on the official maps, as well as all the unofficial MW maps/quests (some of which will eventually become official).

ATM the B5 official maps aren't necessarily too well placed -- the gameworld doesn't make a hell of a lot of sense as a world. This will be sorted out in B6 and yet more quests will appear then.

The kill 20 ants, etc type of quest is pretty cheap and easy to do badly -- and pretty quickly everyone hates that type. OTOH if not done badly they provide pretty important 'ballast'.

The current quest system can handle them, fairly basically. SENTInce enhances this somewhat.

I'm pretty close to putting SENTInce on dev. I've been doing a major client-side rewrite the past couple of weeks, but I think it's nearly done now.

For scripts we use Lua, not Python. It's easy to pick up (the scripting stuff is in Daipedia, in the mapper guide IIRC).

Hey Smacky, a quick question about Lua quests. Are they broken on b5 at the moment? Me and Immage are both having a similar problem, with 'checkq' being the issue. Not sure if he's got past where he was but his problem was getting past checkq1. Personally I can run it through to checkq3 before it just won't do anythig else. I'm not sure on the error messages, it says there's a builder missing or something, I'll look properly into this at weekend when I have some free time. But if you know anything of the top of your head we'd both appreciate the knowing. Thanks.

It may well be broken ATM. Few more days and I should have SENTInce ready to roll which will fix such issues (and introduce lots of new ones ;)).
