~PROLOGUE~

Recently, some soldiers from Stoneglow discovered a strange structure far south of town. As they got close to it, they noticed a massive, crimson portal forming. Next, they witnessed a shadowy figure stepping into it. Out of the blue, several shadowy tentacles reached through the portal. "What the hell is that!?" A massive shadowy monster crawled out of the portal and began making its way toward the soldiers. "Run for it! I don't know what that thing is, but it'll kill us all!" The leader of the party shouted. The soldiers began running north in an attempt to escape the monster's line of sight.
From afar, a mysterious individual observed the scene. "Good... Swallow them whole..." The mysterious person said to themself. The monster managed to catch up to the soldiers. As soon as it got close enough, the monster began grabbing the soldiers by their legs one by one. The soldiers screamed in agony as the monster chewed them up slowly. Blood and guts were sliding out of its mouth as it turned back and headed to the portal.

Two weeks later, the Supreme Commander became concerned and decided to lead his own party of soldiers down south to find out what happened. However, before he and his party even made it to the south gate of Stoneglow, three suspicious characters appeared. One of them appeared to be a mage of sorts. In just a brief moment, half of Stoneglow was destroyed by a single spell. It was unlike anything that anybody has ever seen, and it was made pretty clear to everyone that this magic isn't something Moroch could have had a hand in creating. Something else is responsible for this tragedy, and a new arrival to the town of Guild Hall would eventually make his way to the other side of that portal to save us all.
