I still have the SDL errors in there so I am tracking down why it is not using the sdl1.2 headers and libs and using the 2.x version...

I've got my hands on an OSX system via remote desktop and will be attempting to resolve these issues. I don't have root access so I'm struggling to get functional installations of the required libraries. Because of that, I can't (easily) compile and install using the "recommended" method described in make/macosx/README.

I have, however, reproduced all of the error messages listed in @fstltna 's previous error log by making an XCode project. I'll keep trying to install via the terminal because the terminal is the only thing that's at all familiar to me.
