Well since alot of folks donated items for me to help out newbies and lowbies i thought i should at least post where all the gear is going. So heres a beginning list of who all is getting help ect.
Qindo-- Mage Gear Set
Chucky-- newbie set,20 gold, amulet, and rings
Noyes-- newbie set, 20 gold, amulet and rings

helped anohter 13 new players out, i'll stop listing names so people cant whine at them.
Oh and i ONLY give out eq and items to players level 3-15, and its not to 'Overload them'. i give them a leg up in the game not give them items that makes the game boring or easy.
if ya want i can list all the names of the players ive helped......or you can just ask them cause they are playing RIGHT NOW....unlike the people that dont get any help and logout within 15 minutes.
Stop whining people, cause all this "Dont help newbies cuase they will just take the items then leave the game"....ya SOME will, but so far ALOT more have stayed and are now 13-45th level.
Hopefully i can get enough players to stick around where no one can exp cause of too many players then someone will get off the dime and upload B5 and open it. thats one way of getting B5 to be posted, alot of players with no where to exp worth a damn.....go figure
re: alt trickery. I have gotten no word till now that I have just read this.
hmmm, idicus, i don't know if this is what it likes to set up a player base ...
The player will never have the great moment of finding a first ring or a first amulet (and find out it is cursed - mwuahaha). non-magical weapon and armour ... okay, i agree, but overloading them with stuff - makes the stuff they find worthless. Eg. When i am new to the game and get all the items u list, it will take ages before i find something useful that tops the gear i already own. killing only for exp is not so much fun in the beginning imho.

I've been trying to help stop this, but it seems to only happen when I'm not around.
I found out that items and gold don't make players stay. I am tired of giving away gold and then never seeing the player again. I simply teach them how to rebind their movement keys, how to shout, get them a cheap apartment, and then their on their own.
*cough* I didn't actually say I'd end it. I said I'd pass on a suggestion of how to end it to the VOLs if Idicus got back to me. Which he hasn't.
However, I do agree this behaviour is not helpful. It is and always has been explicitly against the Game Rules: GR 1e Do not engage in alt theft or other alt trickery says 'Other alt trickery would include creating alts for the purposes of deception'.
So the rules is there, it's down to the VOLs and GMs whether and how to enforce it, and of course the community to act in a sensible way in the first place so no 'enforcement' is necessary.
well bro just gotta ignore them idiots best thing i can tell ya no point in getting yourself into trouble over a bunch of people who cant grow up.
i give all newbies level 3 20 gold to help them out, a newbie set= a weapon, a eq set of level plus rings and amulet when i have them

the 20 gold is for apartment, healing potions ect.
and yes i walk them over and get them all a apartment.
i am still having one problem! Pkayers making Alts and logging in wasting my time asking questions they all know the answers too ect, i've talked with Smacky about this before and he said he would end it......so far it hasnt ended its just increased....im getting damn sick of it, im about to start cussing people out in game that do it.
Stop the harrassment and the wasting of my time, im here to build maps and help build a player base for game.

unless those newbie's are lvl10 that's a little over the top
in today's silver is like gold economy
(1g item value repair is beyond income maintenance of most lvl12's)
Personaly I walk them to the apartments so they don't item overload.
