I have decided to use this platform to showcase forum threads from the past that I deem noteworthy.

I had seriously considered using my blog as a personal platform to rant about things that bother me in Daimonin (my next entry was going to be about why drop parties are bad for the game...), but instead I have decided to be less "combative".
When I first became a forum admin I poked around the (old) website a lot and ran across buried threads that gave me a new appreciation for the history of this project and its community. I have decided to use my blog to showcase such threads. Every two weeks or so I will post a blog containing a link (which will appear in blue) to an old thread which I think is either amusing, or informative, and worth having new (I use this term loosely- to cover anybody who did not join Daimonin before me) people be aware of. I will also attach a brief explanation of why I am showcasing this thread.
Important: the purpose of this is not to resurrect old issue and re-hash them- for this reason (in most cases) the threads will be locked by me. If you feel you have something really really useful to contribute to the topic discussed in a showcased thread, the best would be to start a new topic and link back a reference to the old thread...
