I am about to spend some time with converting the old phpwiki pages to the new wikkiwakki :P I would like to know, who is in charge of this process and who has already taken over which pages, so i won't do done things. Thank you for a short info!
yes, i meant: i used the "replace all button" but it didn't replace all. But i didn't untick "Prompt", how would I know I'd have to?! Actually, I just tried again and I DID untick once before, but FF chrashed and I got this blue box on top getting the message, Cleo posted, and didn't untick that box again. now I know I should have written that here.
But if you are offering to post to the devs over there, tell them that the "search and replace" window should be moveable (if anyhow possible), cause it uses to appear in exactly the wrong place everytime :P
Ooh! I'd not used that, not really being a WYSIWYG type of person. It's quite good though. But you're saying it needs a single-click 'Replace All' button? I agree, but this is something we need to hassle the WikkaWiki devs over I think.
Post stuff like this and I'll submit bug reports to them, but don't expect a fix too soon.

hehe NP. Well the easiest thing for now is to work on the fun pages, as Cleo is doing (he just did the Halloween 2005 page I noticed). These are good because they're completely unrelated to the new stuff I'm doing and relatively straightforward. And they focus on the community, which is just what's needed right now.
They should all be in CategoryEntertainment for the moment, which already exists so just add {{index cat="CategoryEntertainment"}} to the top of each page.
You might also want to convert the stories from phpWiki (Anich put several from the forum onto pnWikka, so I'll get those and zip up the text files for someone to transfer here too).
ty, smacky. I am still a bit unsure, cause you say you write some stuff new. How will I know what pages these are? Of course, it seems more compley than nobbit's hobbit-brain can think it. I thought just find people who are willing to work with the pages, divide the workload (should be done by ... the admin ;-)) and after that, everybody will work his stuff, contribute. if some1 finishes, he can come back and ask if some1 else needs a helping hand=get some more pages from another person.
So the way seems to be: I look through the old files, pick some, makes a post here to tell everybody that i will start working on it, wait for a short okay from the admin and then start? Just to make sure.
Sorry, I am trying to structure everything as clear as possible, so that's why I ask 1000 times before I'll do some1 elses work :-P
That'd be very useful. The few points are don't bother with the Lua scripting docs or coding docs or really any of the technical stuff ATM.
This is partly because a few of those pages were already translated to pnWikka on the old site, so it makes more sense for me to more or less just copy those across.
Also partly because some of the info in them is old and redundant now anyway and its better to write new (which is what I am doing).
When you put some new pages in or are in the process, write a story to this group so people can see what's been done and not duplicate effort. See for example Cleo's story about Turmoil and The Michtoen Reader.
Finally, please see my story about putting every page into a category. With that, it should be fairly straightforward. Thanks. :)

There is "Replace all" button already; untick the "Prompt" checkbox. However, when clicking the button, my Firefox froze and I had to kill it.
I was flooded with the "setSelectionRange() was called too early => exit" messages which is probably why Firefox froze.
