I've started a Daimonin dictionary on the Daipidia, for the use of authors and mappers.
The goal is for this to be a central place to keep track of whatever words people have invented in the course of their writing, mapping. The idea being that people can start using "shared" words in various languages (Elvish, Killrin, Orcish, etc.), rather than coming up with new words (although some duplication of words is not that problematic because one would assume that Elves have several different languages etc.)
Check it out:

Let me know what you think, and please feel free to add to it (I've included a brief tip on what entries should look like, and also there is an example).
To my understanding and being on the advent of the introduction of the language skills, would it be better to compile separate dictionaries as well?
I see the point of having them all as one (people not recognizes which language it is). But it would add more to the coffers of Daimonin.
Lol it's hard to keep up with you...Updated the dictionary to conform to the new way of writing the command...(You said ti was a work in progress so I expected to have to do this :) ).
Sure. The no link for no entry thing is probably too much extra processing for such a small feature.
Besides I've thought of a much more flexible way to do the whole thing.
EDIT: Done. The changes have broken your index. I'll update the formatting docs later/tomorrow, or you can probably figure it out from the example in the sandbox.
EDIT: Well I lied about updating the docs today, but I have put a full index in The Michtoen Reader dictionary" which makes a nice example.
thanks Smacky-I hope the wikipage (can i call it the wikidici?) becomes something useful (I'll try to add some content in the near future).
Changed to use the new {{anchor special="index"}} :)
I know with this new command you intended to have empty entries left with no link, but for this I wanted people to be able to see the framework and just add entries into the appropriate letter (also I hade all the anchors+ headers already there...)
Have a look in the SandBox. A couple of issues to sort out, but the idea works.
Nice one. Keep going. When I've committed the layout and structure guide to paper, we can remodel it a bit to fit.
For now I'll leave it to you though.
I was thinking about your horizontal table of contents. I think what I'll do is add another value to @special, "alphabetical".
This would do a horizontal TOC of letters, similar to what you have done manually. It would automatically like to anchors with @name set to a letter, if you see what I mean.
So you would do:
{{anchor special="alphabetical"}}
which would simply render a horizontal list of letters:
[ A | B | C | ... ]
If somewhere on the page you had {{anchor name="A"}} it would automatically link the A entry to that anchor. There are no B words, you you simply have no {{anchor name="B"}} and the B entry is not a link.
