Group Map Wizards news

This is quite a major feature that was always meant to be, but has only just become a possibility.

Map Wizards can now upload their own arches for use in their own maps! Simply upload to mapserv SVN to arch-B5/unofficial/user/ in just the same way as you upload maps and scripts to maps-B5/unofficial/user/. After a reboot the server will recollect the arches, meaning that your arches will be available on, eg, dev after a /restart.

Obviously you need to take a little care not to upload broken arches, so test locally first.

Also, the archetype name (Object foo) and the image filenames (foo.101.png) must be unique. I suggest you prefix them with your username (Object smacky_foo and smacky_foo.101.png). If and when they beome official, renaming and inserting them into the proper place in arch/ is a simple matter.
