A new mapmaker package is now available from the download page.
This is the latest B5 release of the public maps, arches, and server, and Gridarta.
In theory you can just unpack this mapmaker over your existing B5 one. In practice, this may overwrite some of your changed maps and arches!
The thing to do is to backup the arch and maps directories from your existing map maker first, then unpack this one. This way you won't lose stuff.
Note two things:
First, this release was a bit delayed (even within normal Daimonin terms!) and I have to admit I've forgotten a couple of things I said I was going to do. Nothing major! So it'll work fine, but don't be too surprised if one or two changes I said I'd make to the .BAT files for instance, haven't been made. Please post a reminder here (or even better in the bugtracker) though.
Second, this is the first mapmaker which uses SENTInce. You may well find that some of your existing NPC scripts (particularly those which handle quests) no longer work quite right. Fixing these scripts is simple, so no cause for panic.
If you do find a problem, or have a question, just post to the appropriate forum board and I can help you fix it.
For examples of SENTInced scripts, have a look at maps/planes/human_plane/castle/guildhall/cashin.lua and maps/planes/human_plane/castle/guildhall/fanrir.lua, which are heavily commented (and in due course I'll write proper tutorials in Daipedia.
But again, if you're stuck, ask in the forum.

Sourceforge.net is being difficult ATM, so the map maker will not be available for a bit (though the old package might have propagated to some mirrors by now).
Anyway, I made a fix and deleted the old package to upload a fixed package. But currently it won't complete the upload!
