game wont start???? help

Ahh i just download the game and installed it, and i click on the new desktop icon and a DOS box pops up that says

"Loading version info......version 0.9.7.1
get update info..."

and it just sits there and wont do anything else. Ive tried to reinstall it and same thing. Can anyone help? thanks.

Well, for the remainder of B4, you don't need the updater, so it may be logical to change the link from <install directory>/daimonin_start.exe to <install directory>/daimonin.exe

That will run the game directly instead of using the updater and then running the game.
