Well good luck finding issue. When it's working again let me know and I'll try to test it again

Well, as quickly and reasonless for starting, it is back to normal with a reboot.

Please try testing again :)

It sounds as if the cached face numbers and the actual face numbers got out of sync for whatever reason. So what you saw wasn't a true reflection of what was happening. SImilar to a few years ago where logging in to different servers without restarting the client caused hallucinations.

This could be a 0.10.7 issue but I don't think so. Another possibility is there are too many faces on dev nowadays (but if so a reboot should not produce a fix).

It wasn't just the face though, it was the attributes. So where mapmaker has a grass fmask (as does main server), it was appearing as a grass fmask, but with all the attributes of a stonewall.

With the old bug, it used to just be the faces. I don't know if that's a possibility for the bug you described or something else?

Oh right. So you mean ingame as SA/MM you could examine these rogue walls and it would give you the object dump for the arch?

OK, thats very odd and definitely sounds like a server bug.

Let me know if it happens again. Don't do a reboot. Actually, can anyone verify that it (a) happens for all players afŧer one player triggered it and (b) continued after relogging?

The hopefully good news is next generation 0.10.7 totally reworks all areas where I suspect this bug may be hiding.

Well I can say that an event triggered it. Reason is that simply put I logged in to Stonehaven Castle and had to walk to Guild Hall. That worked fine. Getting out didn't.

I'll do testing on Thursday/Friday after minor event tomorrow ;)

I'm not sure how you're reproducing this. I've done a few quests (including Cashin's) and haven't found much.

I did find that the stairs to the priest area in GH have a small bug - the map path is appended to the name of the stairs in the "below" window and in /examine.

I see what you mean, but it's only after they've been applied.

They've not got a script attached to them, so are just normal stairs, so I know it isn't because I put apply instead of trigger with a lua script. Not just the priest stairs - every set of stairs.

EDIT: I've done every quest in GH and can't reproduce it.

I think I might have crashed server trying to repair a belt. Guess I'm unlucky

Yup. Crashed in the new pick up code. On the one hand it should be an easy fix, but on the other something a bit fishy is going on (basically I misjudged the idiot-proof code so it itself is an idiot and can cause a crash, but that code (I think) won't even kick in at this stage). Need further investigation.

ok, I figure I should avoid testing as each time I do server breaks!

No, that's good. That way it won't happen when it goes on main and you log in ;)
