Chess Plaza is the latest attraction in daimonin and can be accessed through the travel agent in Guild Hall.

Chess Plaza has three playable chess boards which means that 6 players can play chess at any point of time.

The rules are simple. You pick up a chess piece with 'g' and drop it at the desired place with 'd'. You will have to moderate on your own as no dev team member can be present online for the whole time. It is highly recommended that you should take a screenshot of every move you or your opponent make to avoid any inconvenience caused by disputes.

There are two discard piles on opposite sides of the board. We advise players to discard their pieces there after they are killed.

We request players to put the pieces back where they were after they finish their game. We also request that no chess piece should be taken by player outside the event. Please help us in helping you and follow the guidelines.

We do not have arches of chess pieces as b4 has reached its limit for new arches so we are using non-conventional chess pieces. They are as follows:
Rook: Shield.
Knight: Sword.
Bishop: Wand.
Queen: Scepter.
King: Armour.
Pawns: Boots.

Extra pieces for promotion of pawns can be taken from an unused field or found on chess_0000 (only map safe for reset) by a DM.

A chess tournament will be held after some time if we have two or more players willing to join.

We sincerely hope that you like this event and enrol yourself to join the chess tournament.

Good luck and have fun.

P.S. Please remember to take a look on game event block on the site.

B4 has reached its arch limit. They can't be used until B5, but look in Mizza's maps on the Dev Server, they're used in there somewhere :) Nice pieces.

Are you talking about b4 arches of chess pieces?

I found those images and used them in B5, sign next to em that they're yours. I didn't find them on the official B4 server but ankit told me to use those items instead. I picked the images and played a few games with it. It needs getting used to, but isometric perspective does that anyway :)

You can change the graphics on the b4 client, if you copy the images in to the cache folder with the correct name you should get the chess piece image rather then the shield / sword etc.  Once you are finished, you simply delete these images, otherwise you might end up wielding a knight in battle.
