Is anyone else getting those silly green words when mouseovered they turn into ads on everyone's post?

They are annoying, seems from what i read that it means we forgot to pay our server bill.

Let me know if i can help get rid of them.

Its me :)

Wondered when people start to complain :)

Ok, here is the reason:

The server costs run ATM from my bills. Thats ok, but you must be aware that in the years
it was more as 5000 euro.

Because the nature of daimonin as "open source / free" project it can't be put on taxes easily.
But with the contaxe ads i use the website (aka the server) as "income".
Ok, 25 cent income or something at the day... I will get be rich in 10.000 years.

No, the real deal is simple: Because i get now income from this, i can simply put server
costs on my tax. That the server costs are higher as the ads income don't matter.
But because they are now on my tax, they are calculated together with my normal
work - so, i can get money back from the taxes because i can declare them as "needed costs" (no idea how its named in your country, but you should get the idea).

Hopefully they get not to annoying, but i find them ALOT better as i add google adsense or something.

I only enabled it for some parts of the site, daipedia & forum and 2-3 other pages.
Not on the frontpage, the user pages and such. Anyway, i must see how it works out because it needs some weeks until they are full adapted to our pages.

I will perhaps add on selected pages, mainly the development stuff, amazon ads. Thats nothing more as related books, they will go in the panel or after the posts. I never used that but i buyed for xmas 3 books there and one about coding for me, so they will fit naturally to our dev part of daimonin. Anyway, that will be only an idea and will not work compared to contaxe, because you don't get any repeating income (without the repeating income the tax "trick" will not work).

Report here please back when you see issues.

Forgot to mention it:

I can adjust this, so the ads are not shown for team members aka make it depending on the group access.

This is even a good thing to avoid to many repeating click from the same IP over a longer time - the advertiser don't like that. Just needs a bit, i look into that when i update the site next time.

Well I'm happy to say I still don't see these at all. Can someone link to a page which definitely has them please?

The download page...

But it works not in that way: The script is searching contaxe for ads in your language and for your country. So, it depends on your box at home. You don't see the ads which see TPK - some keywords
are clear for you but not for others.

Hum then I suggest everyone makes their computer pretend to be English and from the UK --  no ads!

the ads do not work on opera, and there is a browser plug-in to disable them on firefox...  FYI.

On the other note: Michtoen, if you need to show income, i could do a $5 paypal payment every month, or something...

I do understand the taxes part though.

Is it much work to reactivate the shop?  Then TPK and others can buy a new ring occasionally.
