I've decided to make some my music able to be heard by the fellow community. The music is for Daimonin or mapmakers personal maps they've made. I'll upload more stuff. If you like a song, ask about it and I'll send an .ogg file your way so it can be added to a map you're making or have made already.

Nice.  :)

I've been wanting a track for the Mausoleum for a while now (it has no background music ATM), so yeah.

if you'd like, send me the midi file, and i'll use soundtrack pro synthetic instruments in reproduce it in a bit better quality.  From there we can add it to the pool of music mapper have at their disposal.

Nice job Tere.  :) Are u able to make the end match up with the intro so that it makes a nice loop?

I think it automatically loops when it's put into the map.

What Joe's saying is that when it loops, the loop shouldn't be noticeable.

What I usually do is, add 10-20 seconds silence at the end, so there's a short break in between loops. How would you make the loop "not" noticeable? I think you'd notice after you hear the same thing playin' for 10 minutes right? I don't get what you're sayin'.

Imagine a (very simple) piece of music ten notes long:

  • A B C D E F G A B C

    So when that plays in a loop you get A B C D E F G A B C A B C D E F G A B C .... You see the problem? The last three notes repeat the first three so when it loops it sounds bad.

You could shorten it to 7 notes so it goes A B C D E F G A B C D E F G ... or otherwise change the music so it is still 10 long but the end fits nicely to the beginning.

Silence at the end works but it really means your music is just a tune this long played repeatedly. If the end and beginning fit together nicely then players won/t notic the loop (unless they are listening for it) and just hear a continuos background music.

I would suggest... putting it on my server, but i don't think that's possible for you since you don't have the credentials... so, how about e-mailing them to me?  planeskeeper02901@yahoo.com.  Let me know when you've sent them so i can scour my spam if i don't see it.

I look forward to seeing the files!  After making it into a soundtrack project i can give suggestions on looping it as well
