Clobber's Blenderings

How do I go about making them into game images?

EDIT: Ignore the questions - here's the answer... let's see if it works...

EDIT2: For the life of me, I can't figure out daimex. But I made a wooden crate.

This morning I learnt about UV mapping - so here's the example.

@Clobber: I think TPK meant instead of using imagebulk. Sticking it on his site is IMO preferable (at least while daimonin.org is broken) as there's nothing worse than browsing the forums and finding a load of 'this image has expired' or whatever from one of the free hosting sites.

Also, use the img tag to show the piic in your post (makes comparisons easier for example):

In that case - awesome - sounds Great, TPK.

I know about the img tag, but it also then uses a lot of bandwidth to view - so I thought links were preferable?

Either way. I made a bench. Things are getting more complex...

Speaking of his server and images, I noticed that TW's Blender tutorial had all the images missing. They were pointing to areas on TPK's server which don't exist anymore (but they did before it was hacked).

hm i think the links just need to be fixed, my server is at screamingflower.dyndns.org now instead of screamingflower.dontexist.org.

I posted about this a while back, but i don't know if any of the website admins took some time to look at it...

Okay i fixed about 1k links to my server, but i need to wait till the search cache clears out (when does that happen, anyone know?) before doing any more.  I will PM Clobber ftp info...

yum, i have...  The scripting engine in blender has changed since it was made though... i would have to look at the code, and make adjustments

But I have now uploaded something to screaming flower (thanks for that :))




Misidian - just re-read your comment. It's very easy with blender to just apply textures so any kind of stair case of that shape could be made. Similarly, it's easy just to change colours on wall flags etc to suit.

That's pretty nice. :) I remember talking about this (applying textures over a 3d skeleton -- can't remember the technical name) back when Torchwood was making his mobs.

Here's a quick example - I've also been playing with transparency a bit. I still don't reckon I've cracked the glass effect, but it's getting closer.
